More Information: 

The following items are needed for a very special day….CHRISTMAS WITHOUT BORDERS 2011! This is a day for those of us who love to bring great blessing and joy to others at the Christmas season the chance to bring Christmas to those who have very little. The day will consist of two parts:

In the morning we will be serving breakfast in impoverished communities. We will have a short Christmas focused program, a craft, and then hand out blankets, toys and food to families.

In the afternoon, we will be having a youth family celebration with the families from the church youth groups we have been working with. This will include a dinner, games, some prizes, giving away more blankets, toys, and a special gift to the youth. We need:

Your family and friends to join us for that day.

We need you to help with serving, handing out presents, being a part of the program and much more. This is a great way for your family to give to together this Christmas! Make it a yearly event. Passports or a passport card is required.

Youth and Young Adults to join us for the day.

Youth and young adults are needed to focus on the youth in the communities as well as assisting in every part of the program. Come together with your friends and create a memory while making a real difference in the lives of other youth this year. Passports or a passport card is required.

Donations Needed:

For Families:

• Blanket (You can put a Christmas greeting on a card and include it with your blanket. Leave it open and we will have all the messages translated into Spanish.)
• Children’s Toys (these can be wrapped with an age and gender marked on them)
• $20 per family for food items (this will be used for the distribution of food to families in need)

Food Items Needed for the Family Celebration Event:

The food items can be delivered to IYI uncooked before the event, or it would be more beneficial if the items were cooked and delivered in disposable containers.

• Pancake Mix (6 large bags)
• Fruit (Eight large cans)
• 4/5 hams
• 2/3 Turkeys
• Mashed Potatoes (eight large trays)
• Gravy (ten large containers full)
• Green Beans (four large containers full)
• Dressing (four large containers full)
• Green Salads (eight salads)
• Butter (four large vats)
• Salt and Pepper
• Hawaiian Punch Red Punch (ten gallons)
• Seven-up or similar (eight bottles)
